-Teacher explains the meaning of exercise can be seen as a way of adding more health to the body system.
-It helps in controlling and maintains the blood circulation in the body.
-Teacher asks pupils when the time for exercise is. Teacher added more point, it can be done at every time but preferable morning and night.
-Teacher asks the pupils to mention any of the exercise they know. E.g. Running, Jugging, Tennis, Football
-Teacher mention more e.g. Dancing, Volley Ball, Swimming, Jumping e.t.c.

- Rest and Sleep: meaning of rest. Importance of rest.
- Time of rest and reason for good rest.
ACTIVITIES/INSTRUCTIONAL RESOURCE
(i)Rest Means: To relax, or to sleep, we rest after lunch.
- To stop and stay in one place
- A stopping of work or some act iuitys
- A period of silence in a piece of music.
- The state or fact of moving.
- Sleep Means: To rest in an unconscious state.
- Important of rest: it refresh our brain and body
- It help us to relax
- It make us nit to move from place to another.
- It purifies the blood system.
- Teacher tells the pupils time for resting e.g.
- Body needs rest at any time.
After school: you can have your rest.
When you come back from work you rest. And no specific time for resting.
Reason for good rest: To regain our strength. It helps us to prepare for other activity.

the body required nutrients daily.
- Teacher tells the pupils the importance of balance diet e.g. meal should be taking regularly.
-Teacher lets the pupils know that breakfast is an – – important meal which the body requires after its long period of rest.
- Teacher asks the pupils to mention examples of balances diet e.g. the diet include milk, and milk products, green leafy vegetables and fruits

(i) Bathing: meaning of bathing , reasons for Washing the body.

ACTIVITIES
- : Asks pupils what they understand by bathing or how many pupil take their bath before coming to school?
– Teacher mentions why we bath e.g.
- To look neat.
- To remove. Unwanted oil in the outer layer of the skin.
- To refresh the skin cell.
- To avoid body odour.
To prevent diseases from body.

- Real practical demonstration in a class.
Teacher: Explains bathing is the act of using soap, sponge and water in washing/scrubbing all part of the body.

Teacher explains to pupils when to wash it should be wash all the time at most three times daily. Pupils contribute their own ideas.

- fridge should be kept by the corner, — table should be in the centre of the room
- cushions be by the side close to the wall
- fan should be by the corner to reach everybody in the room.

(i) Daily and weekly cleaning of bedroom, sitting room, kitchen and food store, toilet and bathroom.
ACTIVITIES
- Teacher explains to pupils we have daily and weekly cleaning:
- Daily cleaning need everyday cleaning e.g.
- Sitting room: open all windows to see properly in cleaning, proper ventilation is needed. Take cushions out and dust it out, sweep the floor and brush the carpet etc
- Bedroom: should be clean as sitting room. All need ventilation;
- Dining room: Give special attention to the tablecloth, floor etc;
- Toilet/Bathroom: It is very essential keep it well ventilated or else it will become smelly

(i) Cleaning of the classroom as example of functional room
ACTIVITIES
Teacher lead the pupils to use classroom and demonstrate cleaning as our own home e.g.
- Sitting room: Teacher asks the pupil to share themselves in groups and clean the classroom e.g. table, chairs, cupboard, and cabinet e.t.c
2. A teacher asks the pupils to get ready with the items to use in cleaning e.g. broom, brush, rags, and refuse bins e.t.c.
3. Teacher directs one group to clean cob-webs, using long broom that will reach up the roof, start clean
4. The other group sweep the floor and clean or mop the carpet;
5. Teacher allows the pupil to do the work to their own satisfactory.

Home furnishing:
- General listing of various homes
- Use of furniture found in the home
ACTIVITIES
Teacher: listed various rooms in the home e.g the sitting room, the dinning room, the bedroom, bathroom, the kitchen, toilet and food store e.t.c.
Teacher asks the pupils to mention home furnishing they know e.g electric light and electricity, the Aladdin lamp, the hurricane lamp, the refrigerator, ovens and stoves, Tilley and pressure lamps, lamp, bed, tables chairs, fans e.t.c.
Teacher mention uses of furniture in the home e.g. bedroom is used for sleeping, sitting room-cushion for sitting down, bathroom for bathing, toilet room for passing excrete and dinning room to serve food for eating
